New Year Nourishment – Yin Yoga and Sound Bath

Join Niamh on this two hour retreat in which you will spend time winding down the mind and finding space in the body through the support of soothing yoga postures and the healing effects of sound.

 

Sound therapy and restorative yoga help to support the natural healing processes of the body and to relieve stress through deep relaxation. As we allow both body and mind to switch off, we move out of the sympathetic nervous system aka ‘fight or flight’ and deeply into the parasympathetic nervous system which is our natural state of rest. From this state of ease, we can learn to move forward in our lives with a deeper sense of connection to both ourselves and the world around us, and allow anything that we need to release go so that we feel lighter and more open to give and receive love and positive energy.

 

This workshop is open to all and will help you to reset both body and mind on many levels – all you need to do is chill out and let yourself rest. Experience the cleansing sounds of Tibetan and Crystal singing bowls, gong and chimes during this session.

Afternoon Retreat

Retreat into yourself with this afternoon of blissful self care. Experience all elements of yoga over the course of a Sunday afternoon. Beginning with guided meditation, moving through a flow, following on with some deep yin yoga postures and ending with yoga Nidra. It will leave you feeling rested and rejuvenated, calm and connected.

 

What to Expect

Flow

We will spend a little longer in poses during this workshop, allowing you the opportunity to experience basic alignment and feel the sensations you want to move your bodies (safely) towards during regular classes.

Yin Yoga

Is Yin Yoga for you? If you are craving energy and tired or you’re over-stimulated and have too much energy; if your mind is overactive or your energy levels erratic – then YES, yin yoga is for you.

What is Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is a smaller amount of poses held over longer periods of time, allowing the muscles an opportunity to settle down and allowing the body move deeper through the tension or tightness that might be keeping you stuck in other areas of your practice.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra also known as Yoga Sleep is mind-body therapy that provides deep relaxation. No physical movement is required.

Beginner Yoga Workshop

This is a great way to learn the basics in an intimate non-competitive environment. Molly will guide you through the fundamentals of alignment and breath work as you begin to experience for yourself some of the benefits that arise from practicing yoga such as:

-Increased flexibility
-Increased strength
-Cardiovascular and digestive health
-Sense of well being & relaxation.

In this workshop you will learn proper yogic breathing techniques, sun salutations, standing poses and hip openers. The workshop will conclude with a deep relaxation and hopefully you will leave with the confidence to return, beginning your yoga journey with a safe and mindful approach.

Private Customised Workshop

Molly will help each student to build confidence in any area of their yoga practice which they find they struggle with or would love to master. Whether you are aiming to increase shoulder mobility, create beautiful spinal compression in back bending, or explore the wonders of standing upside down – Molly will customize a 1/2 hour workshop aimed at smashing your yoga goals!

Molly’s playful, creative and challenging classes are inspired by her interest in a myriad of different styles of yoga. Having discovered her passion for the practice while living in New York, she has since travelled the globe to get her ‘fix’ both as a teacher and student. Her teaching is relaxed yet firm and she trusts that the benefits of yoga are both mental and physical. Inspired by movement and art Molly helps you explore your creativity and embrace where you are in your yoga practice.
